Stelios I. Angeli

Stelios I. Angeli was born in Nicosia, Cyprus, in 1984. He graduated the Apostolos Varnavas Lyceum in 2002 followed by the compulsory military service. He received his B.Sc. degree in Physics with a specialization in Nuclear Physics from the University of Athens, Greece, in 2008 and the M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering with Medical Physics from Imperial College London, United Kingdom, in 2009.

He is currently an approved and registered Medical Physicist working at the private healthcare sector and a member of the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine.

His association with the Laboratory of Physiology and Biomedical Imaging commenced in 2010 as a research associate – in 2011 he started working towards his Ph.D. degree at the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Cyprus. His research interests include finite element biomodeling and simulations, cardiac mechanics, and biomedical imaging.
